This is a local business that has been here for years. You don't live here if you don't know what this place is. Quick, and to the point : - You come here for quantity, and price. You want sushi that "doesn't fall apart" according to tourists left, and right. Go to Shionos, and shell out $20 for one order of sushi half the size. - Yes, it closes sporadically or takes over an hour for an order. Majority of the locals don't care, because it's worth it. Come back before they open (sign gives exact time of reopen), or just wait. - There's tons of free parking around this place. If you paid for parking, then you deserved it. TL;DR Good, and cheap sushi. Just be patient.

This is a wonderful, small, sushi shop. You can walk in, place your order and have it within about 20 minutes, or call your order to pick up. No indoor seating, but there are nice covered tables outdoors. We had spicy ahi and the California roll, and both were fresh and delicious. If you enjoy sushi, give this place a try.

Oh wow, such fresh sushi! Best sushi in town! My favorite by far was the ninja star. Had a little kick to it! We will be back! Also the rolls are well priced, $7-9 usually. We ordered 4 rolls for the 2 of us, and probably would’ve been fine with just 2 rolls. We had some extra left for dinner. :)

Tasty and reasonably priced. You may have to 2 hours for your food, but to me it's worth it. More of a local's place. Don't be that tourist.

Make sure to get there early. This is a favorite of sushi lovers on the Big Island so the locals line up before dinnertime The place is BUSY. Seating is all outside, nothing fancy and no table service. Most just take out. There is no preorder and you might have to wait an hour for your order to be ready. This is worth that level of inconvenience. Take a moment and let that fact sink in.
